How do we relationship?
By Tamiful

Does a yuri being doomed automatically lower its value?

How do we relationship? is the story of two women playing in a band throughout college trying to be in relationships with women. Problems come from every direction, but so do genuine friends and bandmates. With a beautiful art-style and realistic dialogue, Tamiful presents us a yuri for the ages.

WARNING!!! SPOILERS
This yuri isn't doomed in the way most are. No one dies, no one moves across countries- it's a much nicer kind of doomed. Miwa (as pictured on the left) and Saeko (as pictured on the right) start their relationship on a whim, leading them to not take it seriously. Miwa finds that she doesn't truly love Saeko- she just wanted to get closer to her and to date a girl. Their breakup was sad, but the story continues, leading ever couple to their eventual demise. It's a dark way to put it, but each and every couple needed to be broken up.

SAEKO AND MIWA:
Is Miwa ready for this?
Miwa is very new to the wlw dating pool, having never been in a relationship with a woman. Saeko was not. At all. The way they got together irks me as well. Why do the two of you have to date at all just because you're both gay? Their relationship became a matter of pretending they wanted to be together and hoping the other doesn't dump them.

TAMAKI AND MIWA:
Do these guys even like each other?
I straight-up cheered when these two broke up. Miwa was first interested in Tamaki because she looked like her first love, Shi-ho. Tamaki only started being interested in Miwa when she thought there was a possibility that Miwa liked her. She spirals into a small obsession over her, even being willing to sacrifice better education just to stay together at school with Miwa. Despite all this, over the span of their arc together, Miwa repeatedly thinks of Tamaki as "cute". It feels more like the way you love a dog than the way you love your girlfriend. This combined with the fact that Miwa was constantly putting pressure on Tamaki really made me unattached to their relationship.

RIKA AND DRUMS-BOY:
Can Rika actually take this relationship seriously?
The whole relationship started by a misunderstanding. Rika didn't want to date seriously. Drums-boy thought they were already dating. Rika had never truly been in a committed, trusting relationship before, and drums-boy just got out of a long term one. Rika didn't actually want to date him- she kind of just wanted to use him, then throw him away.

SAEKO AND YURIA:
Can they be together and have their own passions?
I was a little sad to see this couple break up. They were my absolute favorite this entire series, giving the readers funny moments as well as sweet and romantic ones. They met at work, but got together after being lost in the woods after a day-trip. They saw the worst, most panicky sides of each other, but instead of being disgusted, they embraced it. The pure vulnerability the two had with each other was heartwarming until it became unbearable. Yuria really wanted to become a beautician, so much so that she would overwhelm herself with the working on her passion. Yuria fell into a state of depression, and Saeko didn't know how to help. Even just being there to support her girlfriend made Yuria feel like even more of a burden. They tried to settle on a compromise that Saeko would lay off while Yuria was feeling down and reconcile after, but all of this made Saeko feel incredibly unwanted and un-useful. They chose to break up for the better of both of their mental health situations, and while it made me sad, I understand that its what both of them needed to grow people.

That's pretty much all of them! Hope y'all had a fun time reading this! Don't let the sad ending deter you-- it is an excellent series that I thoroughly enjoyed.
